Hey everyone, I'm Jason. President of JHE's Log Furniture Place (http://www.logfurnitureplace.com), also a partial owner of our family's factory Lakeland Mills (http://www.lakelandmills.com). I started J Hunt Enterprises (now JHE's Log Furniture Place, LLC) in 1996. Back then I sold log furniture, trellises and arches/arbors from Lakeland Mills mostly from word of mouth. I decided to create my first web site complete with a shopping cart, yes cutting edge indeed, This site was found on my personal college web space in 96/97. As word of mouth spread and business grew I decided an official website was necessary thus http://www.jhuntenterprises.com was born in 1998. From there we grew to http://www.cedarlogfurniture.com and ended up being known as the place for log furniture so http://www.LogFurniturePlace.com was created.

In our continual search of ways to improve and expand customer service (in addition to our log furniture blog, Facebook page, and product videos I thought of forums. I personally love forums. Forums are a great place for people to come together to ask questions, share knowledge, get unbiased opinions from others, etc.

I searched but couldn't find a forum dedicated to log furniture, rustic furniture, barn wood furniture or cabin decor so we created this to fill those niches.

So welcome to the forum! Feel free to share your knowledge and ask your questions. I look forward to meeting everyone!

Hey, i'm Brian.
I've developed a custom built milling machine to ease the
construction of log furniture. I'm looking to market said
machine. I'm new at computers and marketing. This is the
first site I've looked at or replied to. My machine is a
sawmill, 100"x8" lathe, mortise and tenoner, and drill press.
It was built with off the shelf parts using standard power
tools as cutters. I've looked at some of the pencil
sharpeners and adapted mortisers on the market and
believe mine to be superior in all respects. I'm interest-
ed in selling the machine outright or selling blueprints.
I've built log furniture for several years after being
a cabinet maker for over twenty. Contact me if you are in
interested in seeing pics and specs of the machine.
